Ayat 97. So We have made
this (the Qur'an) easy in your own tongue (O Muhammad [SAWW](PBUH), only that you may give glad tidings to the
Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons), and warn with it the Ludda
(most quarrelsome) people.
[Tafseer] So
have We made the (Quran) easy in your own tongue, that with it thou majesty
give Glad Tidings to the righteous, and warnings to people given to
contention. But how many (countless) generations before them have We
destroyed? Canst thou find a single one of them (now) or hear (so much as) a
whisper of them? from which this sentence is brought up as a reminiscence,
showing the progress of sin, the Guidance which Allah gives to the good, the
degradation of blasphemy, the respite granted, and the final End, when personal
responsibility will be
enforced.
Hazrat Ibn Masud
(May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah
[SAWW](PBUH) said, "Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah, he will be
credited with a good deed, and a good deed gets a ten-fold reward. I do not say
that Alif-Lam-Mim is one letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter and Mim
is a letter.''
[At-Tirmidhi, Hadith #
2910]
Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Maryam
Ayat 97."We have made this (the Qur'an) easy".
This Hadith urges us to recite the Qur'an and also mentions the great reward for
reciting
it.
