[53] Surah An-Najm [The Star]: Ayat 059-062 [Ayat-e Sejdah]

৫৯. তোমরা কি এই বিষয়ে আশ্চর্যবোধ করছ?
৬০. এবং হাসছ-ক্রন্দন করছ না?
৬১. তোমরা ক্রীড়া-কৌতুক করছ, 
৬২. অতএব আল্লাহকে সেজদা কর এবং তাঁর এবাদত কর।  [সেজদা]   

Ayat 59. Do you then wonder at this recital (the Qur’an)?

Ayat 60. And you laugh at it and weep not,

Ayat 61. Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing, etc.).

Ayat 62. So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone).

Tafseer of Surah An-Najm (The Star) Ayat 59 to 62. Do ye then wonder at this recital? Mere wondering will not do, even if it is the wonder of admiration. Each soul must strive and act, and Allah's Mercy will take it under its wings. 60. And will ye laugh and not weep, The higher issues of Life and the Hereafter are serious, and therefore all that we do in this life is serious and important. We must shun inanities and frivolities. It is no laughing time. If we only realized our own shortcomings, we should weep, with our good angels who weep for us. But weeping by itself will not help. We must try and understand Allah and adore Him. Thus shall we be able to understand ourselves and our fellow-men. 61. Wasting your time in vanities? 62. But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! And so we are invited to prostrate ourselves and adore Him. For this is the true end of Revelation and the true attitude when we understand the world, Nature, History and the working of Allah's Plan. 

Hazrat Abu Umamah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah  [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Read the Qur'an, for it will come as an intercessor for its reciters on the Day of Resurrection.''  [Muslim Book 04, Chapter 133, Hadith # 1757]

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah An-Najm Ayat 59. Do you then wonder at this recital (the Qur’an)?" This Hadith tells the excellence of reciting the Qur'an and acting upon its injunctions. Intercession (in this Hadith) means that the Qur'an will be endowed with the power of speech by Allah and it will request Allah to forgive the sins of its reciters who acted upon its teachings. Allah will accept the request of the Qur'an, as signified in other Ahadith.
