[54] Surah Al-Qamar [The Moon]: Ayat 016-017

১৬. কেমন কঠোর ছিল আমার শাস্তি ও সতর্কবাণী
১৭. আমি কোরআনকে সহজ করে দিয়েছি বোঝার জন্যে অতএব, কোন চিন্তাশীল আছে কি?

Ayat 16. Then how (terrible) was My Torment and My Warnings?
Ayat 17. And We have indeed made the Qur’an easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)?

Tafseer of Surah Al-Qamar (The Moon) Ayat 16. But how (terrible) was My Penalty and My Warning? While the Mercy of Allah is always prominently mentioned, we must not forget or minimize the existence of Evil, and the terrible Penalty it incurs if the Grace of Allah and His Warning are deliberately rejected. 17. And We have indeed made the Qur´an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition? While the Qur'an sums up the highest philosophy of the inner life, its simple directions for conduct are plain and easy to understand and act upon. Is this not in itself a part of the Grace of Allah? And what excuse is there for anyone to fail in receiving admonition?

Hazrat Usman bin Affan (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah cid:image004.gif@01D1F687.EA3B55B0[SAWW](PBUH) said, "The best amongst you is the one who learn the Qur'an and teach it.''  [Al-Bukhari Book 06, Chapter 61, Hadith # 545].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Qamar Ayat 17. And We have indeed made the Qur’an easy to understand and remember" This Hadith tells us excellence of people who learn Quran and then spend their time teaching to others. Only such people will be elevated who act upon the teachings of the Qur'an and abstain from what is forbidden by Allah. The Muslims of the early centuries of Islam were blessed with great honour by Allah because they loved and applied the Qur'an. Because of their meaningful attachment with the Qur'an, they made great achievements in religious and worldly spheres. Those who neglected the teachings of Quran & Islam will be disgraced and humiliated. May Allah guide and enable us to re-establish our contact with the Qur'an so that we can regain our past glory.
