Ayat 8. But it shall avert the punishment
(of stoning to death) from her, if she bears witness four times by Allah, that
he (her husband) is telling a lie.
Ayat 9.
And the fifth (testimony) should be that the Wrath of Allah be upon her if
he (her husband) speaks the truth.
[Tafseer] of Ayat
8. But she would avert the
punishment from herself, if she take oath and bears witness four
times saying "By Allah, that her husband is telling a lie and accusing her
falsely; And
the fifth (oath) should be that she solemnly invokes the wrath of Allah on
herself if (her accuser) is telling the truth, and they should apart
from each other and not allowed to live as husband and
wife.
Hazrat Adi bin Hatim At-Ta'i (May Allah be
pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah
[SAWW](PBUH) say: "He who has taken an oath (to do something) but found
something else better than that (which brings him closer to Allah), then he
should do that which is better in piety (and he should expiate for the breaking
of oath)".
[Muslim Book 015 Hadith #
4057].
Lesson : as
mentioned above in Surah An-Nur Ayat 09."Wrath of Allah be upon her
if he (her husband) speaks the truth" This Hadith emphasizes
the importance of having the fear of Allah. So much so that if somebody has made
a vow to commit some sin he should break it, arrange for its expiation and keep
himself away from that sin or any other act that contravenes the fear of
Allah.
