[26].Surah Ash-Shuara [The Poets]: Ayat 105-108

Ayat 105. The people of Nuh PBUH (Noah) belied the Messengers.
Ayat 106. When their brother Nuh PBUH (Noah) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him?
Ayat 107. "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you.
Ayat 108. "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me.

Tafseer of Ayat 105 to 108. The people of Noah PBUH rejected the messengers. Behold, their brother Noah said to them: "Will ye not fear ((Allah))? Noah's generation had lost all faith and abandoned themselves to evil. They had rejected the Message of messengers previously sent to the world. Noah was sent to them as one of themselves ("their brother"). His life was open before them: he had proved himself pure in heart and conduct (like the Prophet of Arabia PBUH long after him), and worthy of every trust. Would they fear Allah and follow his advice? They could see that he had no ends of his own to serve. Would they not listen to him? "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust: Amin=one to whom a trust had been given, with several shades of meaning implied: e.g., (1) worthy of trust, (2) bound to deliver his trust, as a prophet is bound to deliver his Message, (3) bound to act entirely as directed by the trust, as a prophet is bound to give only the Message of Allah, and not add anything of his own, and (4) not seeking any interest of his own. "So fear Allah, and obey me.

Hazrat Abu Bakr As-Siddiq (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: "O you people! You recite this Verse: `O you who believe! Take care of your own selves. If you follow the (right) guidance [and enjoin what is right (Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do) and forbid what is wrong (polytheism, disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden)] no hurt can come to you from those who are in error.' (5:105) But I have heard Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) saying: "When people see an oppressor but do not prevent him from (doing evil), it is likely that Allah will punish them all.''
[Abu Dawud Hadith # 4338 and At-Tirmidhi Hadith # 2168].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Ash-Shuara Ayat 108. "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. This Hadith brings out the following points: What Abu Bakr As-Siddiq (May Allah be pleased with him) had stated was that the Ayah mentioned in this Hadith was generally understood to mean that if a person is on the Straight Path then it is not necessary for him to preach virtue and forbid vice because in that case he neither has the fear of being harmed by the disobedience and sins of others nor is he answerable to Allah for their misdeeds. Thus, what it implies is that Muslim Ummah is not responsible for the enforcement of Islamic Shari`ah in the world and all it is concerned with is its own improvement only. By narrating this Hadith, Abu Bakr As-Siddiq (May Allah be pleased with him) refuted this interpretation of the Ayah and made it clear that it is the duty of the Ummah and each of its member to make best possible efforts to check the vices prevalent in the society. So much so that if a Muslim has the ability to check the vices by means of force or speech but he does not do it, his negligence in this regard will become a cause of Divine wrath and punishment. The true significance of this ayah is that if, in spite of the best efforts on the part of the pious ones there is no improvement, and people do not abstain from sins and disobedience of Allah, then the pious persons will not be held responsible for what the defaulters do, nor would they suffer on this account. This interpretation of the ¢yah removes the conflict that seems to exist between the meaning of the Ayah and the Hadith

[26].Surah Ash-Shuara [The Poets]: Ayat 102-104

Ayat 102. (Alas!) If we only had a chance to return (to the world), we shall truly be among the believers!
Ayat 103. Verily! In this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers.
Ayat 104. And verily, your Lord! He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful.

Tafseer of Ayat 102-103-104. "´Now if we only had a chance of return we shall truly be of those who believe! "This apparent longing for a chance of return is dishonest. If they were sent back, they would certainly return to their evil ways: as mention in Surah 6: Ayat 27 -28. Besides, they have had numerous chances already in this life, and they have used them for mischief or evil. Verily in this is a Sign but most of them do not believe. And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "There are two blessings in which many people incur loss. (They are) health and free time (for doing good)".  [Al-Bukhari Volume 08, Chapter 76, Hadith # 421].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Ash-Shuara Ayat 102."If we only had a chance to return (to the world), we shall truly be among the believers"
1. Al-Ghabn in Arabic means loss. What it really signifies is to sell something of one's own on less than its due price, or to buy something on its double or triple price. In both cases one is a loser. When a person comes to know about such a loss, he repents and feels sorry for it. This loss coupled with regret is called Al-Ghabn. In Ahadith, man has been compared with trader, and health and leisure enjoyed by him with merchandise. One who uses his merchandise with care, gains profit while he who wastes it, that is to say, uses it carelessly, will be a loser on the Day of Resurrection.
2. The majority of people do not take proper care of both these things, with the result that one wastes the time in useless activities and spends the physical strength and energy in the disobedience of Allah. One will have to face severe consequences of it on the Day of Resurrection when he will be brought into account for everything.

[26].Surah Ash-Shuara [The Poets]: Ayat 91-101

Ayat 91. And the (Hell) Fire will be placed in full view of the erring. Ayat 92. And it will be said to them: "Where are those (the false gods whom you used to set up as rivals with Allah) that you used to worship Ayat 93. "Instead of Allah? Can they help you or (even) help themselves?"
Ayat 94. Then they will be thrown on their faces into the (Fire), They and the Ghâwûn (devils, and those who were in error).
Ayat 95. And the whole hosts of Iblis (Satan) together. Ayat 96. They will say while contending therein, Ayat 97. By Allah, we were truly in a manifest error,
Ayat 98. When We held you (false gods) as equals (in worship) with the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists);
Ayat 99. And none has brought us into error except the Mujrimun [Iblis (Satan) and those of human beings who commit crimes, murderers, polytheists, oppressors, etc.].
Ayat 100. Now we have no intercessors, Ayat 101. Nor a close friend (to help us).

Tafseer of Ayat 91 to 101. "And to those straying in Evil, the Fire will be placed in full view; "And it shall be said to them: ´Where are the (gods) ye worshipped- "´Besides Allah. Can they help you or help themselves?´"Then they will be thrown headlong into the (Fire),- they and those straying in Evil, The false gods, being devils or personified false fancies, will all be involved in the punishment of Hell, together with their worshippers, and the ultimate sources of evil, the hosts of Iblis or Satan (Cf. 25:17-18). "And the whole hosts of Iblis together. "They will say there in their mutual bickerings: "´By Allah, we were truly in an error manifest, Error manifest: 'our error is now plainly manifest, but it should have been manifest to us before it was too late, because the Signs of Allah were always around us'. This will be said by the ungodly, whose eyes will then be fully opened. "´When we held you as equals with the Lord of the Worlds; "´And our seducers were only those who were steeped in guilt. They now see that the people who seduced them were themselves evil and subject to the penalties of evil, and their seductions were frauds. They feel that they ought to have seen it before, for who would deliberately follow the paths of those condemned to misery and punishment? How simple they were not to see the true character of their seducers, though they had been warned again and again against them! It was their own folly that made them accept such obviously false guidance! "´Now, then, we have none to intercede (for us), "´Nor a single friend to feel (for us).
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "The (Hell) Fire is surrounded with all kinds of desires and passions, while Jannah is surrounded with adversities.''  [Muslim Book 40, Chapter 01, Hadith # 6779].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Ash-Shuara Ayat 91."the (Hell) Fire will be placed in full view of the erring" The way to Hell is littered with these evils. When a person crosses them, it is an indication that he has entered into Hell. On the other side exists a series of griefs and calamities, Islamic injunctions and obligations (the compliance with which is often irksome for man) impede his way to Jannah. When a person endures them with patience he, in fact, overcomes those obstacles and becomes eligible for Jannah.
