[26].Surah Ash-Shuara [The Poets]: Ayat 18-20



১৮. ফেরাউন বলল, আমরা কি তোমাকে শিশু অবস্থায় আমাদের মধ্যে লালন-পালন করিনি?এবং তুমি আমাদের মধ্যে জীবনের বহু বছর কাটিয়েছ
১৯. তুমি সেই-তোমরা অপরাধ যা করবার করেছ তুমি হলে কৃতঘ্ন
২০. মূসা বলল, আমি সে অপরাধ তখন করেছি, যখন আমি ভ্রান্ত ছিলাম  
Ayat 18. [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said [to Mûsa (Moses)]: "Did we not bring you up among us as a child? And you did dwell many years of your life with us.
Ayat 19. "And you did your deed, which you did (i.e. the crime of killing a man). And you are one of the ingrates."
Ayat 20. Mûsa PBUH (Moses) said: "I did it then, when I was an ignorant (as regards my Lord and His Message). 

[Tafseer] of Ayat 18. (Pharaoh) said: "Did we not cherish thee as a child among us, and didst thou not stay in our midst many years of thy life? There is a little play of wit here on the part of Pharaoh. When Moses speaks of the "Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds", Pharaoh says: "Who cherished you? Did we not bring you up as a child? Did you not grow up among us?" By implication Pharaoh suggests that he is the cherisher of Moses, and in any case Pharaoh laid claim to godhead himself. Tafseer of Ayat 19. "And thou didst a deed of thine which (thou knowest) thou didst, and thou art an ungrateful (wretch)!" Further, Pharaoh reminds Moses of his having slain the Egyptian, and taunts him: "You are not only a murderer: you are an ungrateful wretch" (using kafir again in a double sense) "to have killed one of the race that brought you up!" Tafseer of Ayat 20. Moses said: "I did it then, when I was in error. What is Moses's reply? He is no longer afraid. He tells the whole truth, extenuating nothing in his own favour. "Yes I did it: but I did it under an error." There are three implications in this: "(1) 1 was wrong in doing it in a temper and in being hasty: (2) I was wrong in taking the law into my own hands, but I repented and asked for Allah's pardon (28:15-16): (3) that was a time when I was under your influence, but since then I am a changed man, as Allah has called me."
Hazrat Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "There is no day on which Allah sets free more slaves from Hell than He does on the Day of `Arafah (The day of Hajj 9th day of Zhual Hijjah).''
[Muslim Book 07, Chapter 77, Hadith # 3126].
Lesson : as mentioned above in Hadith Almighty Allah emancipates most of His slaves, both men and women from the Hell-fire on this great day. Millions of pilgrims, who by virtue of their sincere repentance, try to seek the Pleasure of Allah certainly stand to earn Allah's Pardon for their sins and thereby emancipation from the Hell-fire. May Allah grant us this grace of His.
