[46]. Surah Al-Ahqaf [The Curved Sand Hills]: Ayat 023

২৩. সে বলল, এ জ্ঞান তো আল্লাহর কাছেই রয়েছে।  আমি যে বিষয়সহ প্রেরিত হয়েছি, তা তোমাদের কাছে পৌঁছাই। কিন্তু আমি দেখছি তোমরা এক মুর্খ সম্প্রদায়।

Ayat 23. Hud PBUH said to his tribe Aad: "The knowledge (of the time of its coming) is with Allah only, and I convey to you that wherewith I have been sent, but I see that you are a people given to ignorance!"

Tafseer of Surah Al-Ahqaf Ayat 23. He said: "The Knowledge (of when it will come) is only with Allah. I proclaim to you the mission on which I have been sent: But I see that ye are a people in ignorance!" The coming of the Punishment for evil was (and is always) certain. At what particular time it would come he could not tell. It is not for the prophet, but for Allah, to bring on the Penalty. But he saw that it was useless to appeal to them on account of the ignorance in which they were content to dwell.

Hazrat Ibn Umer (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Mankind will stand before Allah, the Rubb of the worlds (on the Day of Resurrection), some of them will stand submerged in perspiration up to half of their ears".  [Al-Bukhari Book 06, Chapter 60, Hadith # 460].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Ahqaf Ayat 23. “Hud PBUH said: "The knowledge (of the time of its coming) is with Allah only, and I convey to you that wherewith I have been sent, but I see that you are a people given to ignorance!" This Hadith gives us a glimpse of the horrible scene of the Resurrection when people who disobey will stand in awe before Allah.
