১১. আর
কাফেররা মুমিনদের বলতে লাগল যে,
যদি এ দ্বীন ভাল হত তবে এরা আমাদেরকে
পেছনে ফেলে এগিয়ে যেতে পারত না। তারা যখন এর মাধ্যমে সুপথ পায়নি,
তখন
শীঘ্রই বলবে,
এ তো এক পুরাতন মিথ্যা।
Ayat 11. And
those who disbelieve (strong and wealthy) say of those who believe
(weak and poor): "Had it (Islamic Monotheism to which Muhammad 
[SAWW](PBUH) is
inviting mankind) been a good thing, they (weak and poor) would not
have preceded us thereto!" And when they have not let themselves be
guided by it (this Qur’an), they say: "This is an ancient lie!"
Tafseer of Surah Al-Ahqaf Ayat 11. A great many of the early Muslims were in humble positions, and were despised by the Quraysh leaders. 'If such men could see any good in Islam,' they said, 'there could be no good in it: if there had been any good in it, we should have been the first to see it!' The spiritually blind have such a good conceit of themselves! As they reject it, and as the Revelation is proved to have historic foundations, they can only call it "an old, old falsehood"!
Hazrat Sahl bin Saad (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah 
[SAWW](PBUH)
said, "Were this world worth a wing of mosquito, He would not have
given a drink of water to an (Kafir) infidel.'' [At-Tirmidhi Hadith # 2320].
Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Ahqaf Ayat 11. And those who disbelieve (strong and wealthy) say of those who believe (weak and poor)” This Hadith makes it clear that the world and its wealth and riches has no significance to Allah. Thus, it should not have much significance to the believers. It should be considered a means to reform the Afterlife, or a place of trial.
