[50] Surah Qaf [Qaf]: Ayat 031-033

Ayat 31. And Paradise will be brought near to the Muttaqun (pious - see V.2:2) not far off.
Ayat 32. (It will be said): "This is what you were promised, - (it is) for those oft-returning (to Allah) in sincere repentance, and those who preserve their covenant with Allah (by obeying Him in all what He has ordered, and worship none but Allah Alone, i.e. follow Allah’s Religion, Islamic Monotheism).
Ayat 33. "Who feared the Most Beneficent (Allah) in the Ghaib (unseen): (i.e. in this worldly life before seeing and meeting Him), and brought a heart turned in repentance (to Him - and absolutely free from each and every kind of polytheism),

Tafseer of Surah Qaf Ayat 31 to 33. And the Garden will be brought nigh to the Righteous, - no more a thing distant. In this life, the ideals of the spirit, the accomplishments of the things in our hearts and our hopes, seem to be ever so far, seem even to recede as we think we come nearer. Not so in the Hereafter. The fruits of righteousness will no longer be in the distance. They will be realized. They will seem themselves to approach the Righteous. 32. (A voice will say :) "This is what was promised for you, - for every one who turned (to Allah. In sincere repentance, who kept (His Law), The description of the Righteous is given in four masterly clauses: (1) those who turned away from Evil in sincere repentance; (2) those whose new life was good and righteous; (3) those who in their innermost hearts and in their most secret doings were actuated by God-fearing love, the fear that is akin to love in remembering Allah under His title of "Most Gracious"; and (4) who gave up their whole heart and being to Him. 33. "Who feared (Allah) Most Gracious unseen, and brought a heart turned in devotion (to Him): Cf. 36:11 and 35:18.

Hazrat Abu Atiyyah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Masruq and I visited `Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) and said: "O Mother of the Believers! There are two Companions of Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) and neither of them holds back from doing good acts; but one of them hastens to break Saum (fasting) and hastens to perform the Maghreb prayer, while the other delays breaking Saum and delays performing Salat (prayer).'' She asked, "Who is the one who hastens to break Saum and perform the Maghreb prayer?'' Masruq said, "It is `Abdullah (meaning `Abdullah bin Masud).'' She said, "The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) used to do so.''
[Muslim Book 06, Chapter 09, Hadith # 2420].

Lesson: This Hadith points out the practice of the Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) of breaking the Saum and performing the Maghreb prayer in the early moments of the prescribed time.
